Charge is a high ananlysis starter fertilizer compatible with 42N or UAN to provide optimum nutrition to the developing seedlings.  Unlike other traditional starters Charge is fortified with fully available Zn and Potassium.  According to recent soil tests conducted on different soil types across Australia, Potassium is becoming less available to plants as most of it is fixed K. 

Potassium application through soil during early growth phase is more benefical than late applications because roots do not recognize K for uptake especially in cereals and a few dicot species.  Charge contains polyphosphate form of P, which is more available in alkaline calcareous soils due to its greater diffusion potential than MAP & DAP. 

High applications of P limit Zn availabilty which necessitates the inclusion of chelated Zn in the fertilizer.  Zinc helps in auxin production that helps in the germination and elongation of cereals coleoptile.  Charge is buffered to keep all nutrients available under most soils types and dilution rates using bore water.  Water with very high bicarbonate levels must first be treated to adjust the pH between 7-8 for best results.
